Glad to see that you are back on your feet again.
I just wanted to give you a report. I fished IBSP this afternoon as it was really nice out. I drove on at A7 and went south to A10 since I saw some birds working there. Problem was that they would push the bait up to the beach and then disburse. I tried plugging them, then I used clams without much luck. No one else around for miles so I decided to head back north cause I could see more birds up there. And my oh my were there birds. Had to be two miles long or maybe more.
There were stripers on the bait(Which I couldn't see). Most of the fish were between 20 and 24 inches. I tried a few different lures to no avail so I switched to clams and bam I had fish after fish. Using a hi/low rig. I had to hold the rod to be able to set the hook on these little fish otherwise they would clean you.
After I caught a few fish some other anglers started to show. Before you know it we had a nice crowd. I was the only one using clams and you really needed to have them to score. The guys with lures did land a few fish but they had to work for them. Me, I would just make a SHORT cast and just hold the rod. In a few minutes I'd have a fish.
SO get out there while you can. I expect these fish to be around as long as there is bait for them to eat.
As for me... I'll be off to NC soon to get the big ones again....... cardshop.
I want to thank you so much card for this report, I was planning on taking a ride tomorrow, but this evening I just started feeling like I might be coming down with a flu of some kind, my tummy is acting up like crazy, I feel nauses, hope it passes, if not I'll be here to post any one's report who may want me to .
