Hi Guys & Gals. I forgot to mention one thing, we had lots of sea robins as well as skate , the skates started hitting about 6 PM, sea robins all day in between hooking stripers.
We fished the north end of Island Beach State park through out most of the day, took a break came home to put on a big pot of home made chicken soup, put it in my slow cooker, then returned back to Island Beach to catch the incoming tide. It was absolutely another gorgeous day by the ocean, plenty of sunshine, plenty of stripers around. the worst part of the whole day was we caught about 7 stripers non were keepers all released, from 26"- 27.9 '', some were fat as can be a few skinny ones, all in all they were all clean beautiful healthy fish. I can;'t go taking every picture of all the shorts we caught, it's to much work plus the fact I just want to get them back in to the water as quick as possible.
Lots of tiny tiny mullet around, which are useless for fishing, maybe for the governors tournament they might be good for hooking a fluke for those who enter this tournament, speaking of this from what I was told from many anglers only those who pay and enter the Governors tournament are allowed to keep a fluke that day, That's questionable ????I guess it is what it is.
I hope all conditions stay the same if so it'll be one heck of a great turn around. Yes Paul, Dominick and Mike , The soup is all ready to bring over tomorrow, hope a 3 quarts is is enough for you big guys. The Best Of Luck To All. Guppie & Don
