My son and I fished at IBSP today from about 9am to 2pm.
We got on at area 7 and ran to area 23 looking for bait. We did find some bait close to shore, but there were no fish on them. We went back to the bathing beaches and plugged, threw metal, and soaked clams and didn't get a bite.
didn't see any fish caught at all. There were no birds working that I saw.
There were few fishermen and a lot of them were driving around looking for something to happen (including us, for a while). Sorry I don't have better news to report, but we're not putting the gear away yet.
I still think it's too early to give up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Williamstown, NJ Thanks for the report Eric, I guess Like I said a stiff N-east wind might just do the trick,I'm glad your not putting your grar away as a of yet, nor are we.
I have heard the same as your report from Brick Beach to the inlet.
