The Beach Haven Charter Fishing Association reports its boats are catching
fish. Captain Fran Verdi on his boat “Catch the Drop Off” has been catching
a combination of big bluefish, black drum, and striped bass.
On a scouting trip
Verdi picked off a 22-pound drum in the bay behind Beach Haven.
Despite howling
winds, his Saturday party picked off quite a few slammer blues around Little Eg
Inlet in the 10-pound range on clams meant for bass. Brett Boyanowski was high
hook with 7 fish.
Captain Adam Nowalsky of the “Karen Ann II” reports good
tog action on fish to 7-pounds with catches averaging 75-100 per trip.
His high
hooks have been Harry Keleshian and Al Moretti. He will now switch to sea bass
on the wrecks and big bluefish in Great Bay.
Captain Lindsay Fuller will bring
the “June Bug” north for the season by this weekend.

association can be found at www.fishbeachhaven.com

Caught 1 short Fluke and *****tail Blue at the BB bouy....very slow pickin'. After the fog let up, ran out to the Inlet but couldn't get outside due to very Dense Fog again out the mouth of the inlet. Fluked the inlet and only hooked up a Sea Robin. Nobody was catchin. On the trip back to TR...fluked the Oyster Creek Channel w/ no hook ups either....Caught a couple of *****tail Blues on metal on the way home near the BB again. Tough day w/ the Fog...

I have no Idea what happened to last nights report, I must have deleted it some how in the process of playing around with blocking IPs .Sorry Guys & Gals .
Hi Guys & Gals. The waves were pounding on the bars and busting up a lot of clams and washing in the surf, bass are feeding on the bottom right now with their noses all red and sore, most Bass were shorts yesterday, although we had some nice size bluefish caught in the course of the day.
Lots of of fog this morning, I took a ride to the ocean about an half hour ago,I couldn't view the water it was so foggy out . With the est wind today it should produce some stiper action, we had a good amount of anglers out yesterday, some short Stripers were caught, nothing to brag about .< This can change today with the east wind .
I will update if I hear of any action.
Today: Periods of rain, mainly after 1pm. The rain could be heavy at times. . High near 61. East wind between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Tonight: Periods of rain, mainly before midnight. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 52. Northeast wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Hi Guys & Gals. I just got some fishing information, believe it or not small blues are being caught along with some stripers, I did get a report that a walk on by the bathing beach just lost a nice striper in the wash, from what I was told he was trying to horse the fish in against the waves, he was so angry he kicked his bucket and threw his pole down, this report was confirmed from a few anglers on the beach to be true, poor guy, the big one indeed did get away . We'll be heading out with in the next hour. Grumpys Bait & Tackle just got a load of fresh live clams in, hats where we're heading first. it's really not fishable to fish artificial now, this can change as the tide drops, It's holding with a 6 oz sinker, with out a problem Wow what a difference a server can make, I can now load 10 pictures in less then 5 minutes.
I can now do a quick report, I hope all you anglers can see this web is running 100% better on Johns Server. Thanks again John . I'll do an update report as soon as we return home , good Luck To All. Guppie & Don
